CQC Inspection at our Cambridge Clinic

On Monday 12th January 2026 the CQC (Care Quality Commission) carried out an inspection on the Cambridge Clinic. The CQC regulates clinics to ensure that services provide safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care. As soon as we receive our rating we will share it with you, however we wanted to share the wonderful feedback we received from our inspector.

Safe

  • We found that DBS checks had been completed for all staff. As members of staff had been employed for a long period of time, we discussed you may want to consider repeating the DBS at a specified interval.
  • Staff were carrying out chaperoning of clients. There was no formal training in place, and we discussed you may consider providing this to give additional support to staff undertaking the role.

Effective

  • We saw evidence of regular audits to monitor client outcomes and individual staff performance.
  • We saw the service provided a holistic approach to treatment, identifying areas that required referral to other healthcare services and that these were followed up by the provider.

Caring

  • Client feedback highlighted the caring approach they experienced from all members of the team, and we observed staff demonstrating this throughout the day.

Responsive

  • We received feedback from clients and staff which highlighted that treatments and procedures were carefully considered and not carried out if not appropriate. Clients highlighted that they were not pressured to make decisions

Well-led

  • We saw that leaders were visible and engaged, staff were comfortable to speak up and highlighted that the culture in the team supported them to deliver high quality care.
  • There were governance processes in place to support the delivery of care and staff were able to access these.

Other

  • Staff were welcoming and engaged with the inspection process throughout the day, taking time to accommodate our requests.
